We are used to working in high risk, safety critical, high profile environments such as the rail network, construction sector and our duty team operates in support of the Fire and Rescue Service and Police for rescue from height, water and confined space incidents. Our teams are disciplined, properly equipped, with the protection of a full audit system, attentive to their duties and very well prepared in terms of planning, documentation and experience.
Our experience with ropes and water make us particularly suited to multi hazard confined space operations where the access and rescue can be quite technical.
We have a range of advanced atmosphere monitoring equipment including:
- Single and multi gas defuse detectors
- Photo Ionising Detectors for a wide range of VOCs
- Single gas detector tubes
- We also have an extensive range of forced ventilation equipment.
Our respirator protection equipment includes:
- 15 minute emergency escape sets with either hood or face mask
- Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) sets
- Supplied Air Respiration (SAR) surface supplied air sets for tight and long duration work
We have extensive experience in rigging for difficult access with a wide range of rope rescue techniques and equipment available.
We also have a range of specialist extraction stretchers and harnesses.
We work with you to manage the entire confined space deployment including Permits to Work, lock out and tag out procedures, air monitoring, entry control, management of deployed workers, rescue standby, first aid, rescue and extraction, decontamination, close out.
With the scale and reach of our operations we are able to react to changes in deployment length and circumstances. This resilience in terms of equipment, people and skills is essential to keeping your project moving forward when you hit unexpected challenges.
Our teams will also brief and train operatives on safe working in confined spaces and rescue procedures, check client PPE (for example check condition and test dates on fall protection equipment or breathing sets) and support proactively to build the safety culture and support your task.
We will work with you to write and develop your hazard register, risk assessments, method statements, response plans etc for the confined space element of what you are doing.
Our teams are all first aid qualified and first aid experienced. They deploy with a comprehensive first aid / trauma pack together with oxygen and defibrillator. Often they will have rescue stretchers, remote reach systems, artificial high directional frames, technical rescue equipment etc with them too, depending upon the nature of the work environment.
Our support office is manned 24/7 as we have a duty team on call for the emergency services. This means you can always get hold of us and we will always respond to your urgent requests if it is possible to do so.
Our deployed teams are supported by a duty manager and are subject to site audits to maintain standards and improve performance.
